news1Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has developed a new digital video recorder DX-TL5716E, which provides an opportunity of uninterrupted recording and video archive storing for several months even at the highest image quality.

New DX-TL5716E DVR records and stores video from 16 analog cameras in MPEG4 format of up to 4CIF resolution and up to 400 fps speed. Inside the registrar 2 hard drives of up to 2 terabytes of total memory can be installed. The information recorded on the hard drives, installed inside the extension block, can be viewed on PC when connecting via USB.

Mitsubishi Electric EVS’s Regional Manager in Russia and the CIS Dmitry Streltsov said: ‘Until recently, consumers of video surveillance systems had to choose between large volume of archival information and the quality of the video record. Digital video recording device, developed by Mitsubishi Electric, meets the new needs and demands of the market – it gives the possibility of an unprecedented memory expandability up to 30 terabytes; that enables an uninterrupted recording for several months, even at the highest image quality’.

To store the information in DX-TL5716E the Serial ATA, the latest industrial standard port for hard drives, is used. Large memory for video archives storing  is provided by plug-in of external expansion units and two hard disk drives (HDD) installation, which capacity is determined by the requirements of recording quality and its storage duration. If necessary, a cascade network connection of up to 16 DX-TL5716E devices with centrally controlled system of 256 cameras is possible.

In contrast to earlier models of Mitsubishi Electric, the video recording from analog cameras to DX-TL5716E is conducted by 16 channels in MPEG4 digital format. The recording time increase has become possible due to the use of this modern format as well.

To find the video files in DX-TL5716E archive menu the criteria must be set. For example, the DVR provides search by video motion detection, alarm list, a bookmark, or by date and time.

Furthermore, the new Mitsubishi Electric DVR can perform many actions simultaneously, e.g. 5 different tasks at once: to monitor, to review the previously recorded information, to record video, to copy and to transfer data by a network, thus a user gets the details about events happening in real time with no delay.
